Reverend Evans has never been much of a stranger to the microphone, he began singing at a church in Newark where he sang and traveled with the New Jersey Mass Choir at the age of 9. Although he was prophesied over of what was to come, there were obstacles and rough encounters to face that have now shaped him into the Man of God we see today. At Derek’s lowest point God reached down and Derek reached up and he has not let go since. He is saved, sanctified, and Holy Ghost filled, and is equipped to do the work of advancing the Kingdom.

Reverend Evans is currently in his 2nd year of the School of Discipleship, through Mercy Hill Ministries of Blairsville, PA where Dr. J.P. Price heads the program. Derek was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ on August 26, 2012, after spending 4 years in training under the instruction of Pastor June P. Jeffries of New Life Baptist Church of Apollo where he was also ordained on April 24th of 2016. Through the years Reverend Evans was also a Sunday school teacher, Worship leader, choir member as well as a choir director, and has also run the media department.

Derek met his wife Jaime in 2005, they married in 2011 and have three children, Aja, Dante, and Mathias. Derek and Jaime are the founders of "Until The Whole World Knows Ministry" where they both have been called to serve. This is a Christian Ministry, that focuses on spreading the love of God through-out the entire nation according to the great commission found in Matthew 28:18-20.
